 Is it necessary to practice yoga everyday? Let's make it specific. One should practice yoga everyday and every moment. Yoga learning is an attitude of life and the understanding way of life. Asana practice should be regular and everyday for a yoga practitioner. Sadhana is a must and Abhyasa is the mean to achieve the goal of life.

We won't forger to eat everyday for our physical energy. At the same time, we should not forget to practice asana everyday since asana give us body and mind energy. Whatever how long you practice asana, it is better to practice for short time everyday than once or twice a week for long time. It is better to practice regular than impromptu. Everyday, systematically, regularly, without fail and with all interest are the keys for yoga practice according to Sivananda's instruction.

   It is the matter of knees straight

   It has been the nagging problem for students who can't keep the knees straight when doing forward bending and standing postures. Some may straight the knees but neglect to contract the muscles around the knees joints. Locking the knees may damage this hinge joint.

Energize your spine

Why keeping the spine erect is important?Our body's energy mainly flows by the spine. When we feel lazy and in the low mood, we bent our spine without awareness.

Anatomy of spine is divided into 3 major sections: the cer⋯⋯vical, the thoracic, and the lumbar spine. There are 7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoracic vertebrae, and 5 lumbar vertebrae. Each vertebrae is separated by intervertebral disc which act as absorption and cushion between the bones.

Faith without fail

One of my students told me that his wife stop yoga practice because of her  yoga teacher died of cancer. She couldn't understand why a senior yoga teacher was unable to get away from serious illness.

Can yoga bring us health? That is definite true. How many people do really understand the essence of yoga? That is the question. Learning yoga is for self understanding and self realization. We live in the world of contradiction because we do not understand our real self. So we lose our balance of body and mind. Diseases and illness are only the by-products of polluted soul. That is the symptom of unbalanced mind.
